Macbeth was persuaded to make many wrong decisions and was said to be seduced by the devil. Because of his change of character from good to evil, Macbeth's attitude towards other characters is significantly affected. The character in a perfect tragedy should be of high status. This is true of Macbeth because throughout the length of the play his status never drops because he ascends from being Thane of Glamis to Thane of Cawdor and finally, to King of Scotland. Macbeth is very ambitious, courageous, and a moral coward: all these things lead to his tragic death at the end of the play. Through the development of this tragedy, Macbeth has turned from a fine-natured person to an evil person. The witches predictions of Macbeth are what led up to Macbeth's tragedy.


If Macbeth would have never ran into the witches who told him of his future, he would have never thought to be king. His evil side was established after he knew he was going to be king, and he didn't have patience, he had to kill everyone in his way to the throne. His ambition and strong belief in witches had brought him to a tragic end of his life, and caused many people to lose their lives. Macbeth's ambition defeated his good nature. Macbeth wanted to ensure that he would reach his ambition without problems. It's fine that Macbeth knew he was going to be king, but the way he chose to get to the throne was the wrong way.


He let the fact of becoming king get in his way and change his life for the worse. Macbeth's life would have been much happier if he let what was said to happen just happen how it was supposed to. He would have lived a much happier life and not a life filled with regret and guilt. All of Macbeth's actions of getting to the throne backfired on him and led to his downfall. Macbeth would have never guessed that Macduff would come back for revenge for the killing in Macduff's household. Tragedy of Macbeth Shakespeare In a tragedy the main character rises to greatness, then continues to fall down a shame spiral which leads to their down fall.


An example of a tragedy is Macbeth. The process of a tragedy is slow to let the audience become comfortable with the power and happiness of the main character. Lady Macbeth organizes King Duncans murder, which increases Macbeth's ambition and enables Macbeth to rise up to the ultimate height. This play is a tragedy because a man of such high authority, at first, rises to greatness and then falls tragically to deat Macbeth is a tragedy because we see this noble character fall into the temptation of evil and eventually capitulate fully to it.

Macbeth was known as a loyal and mostly honored man in the first beginning. The witches predicted great things for him. From reading the book he seemed so great. Throughout the scenes he starts to change and act different. Macbeth has this mindset to kill Duncan so that he can be king. He wants power and is very greedy for power and was willing to kill him to get it. It made the reader vision him in a more selfish and hunger for greed way. The characteristic of a tragic hero is captured in Shakespeare's character Macbeth. A tragic hero has been said to be fated by the gods or a supernatural entities. Before these factors can be discussed, it is important to recognize what workings make up the characteristics of a tragic hero.


Once Macbeth had learned about the prophecies coming true he had sent a letter to his wife Lady Macbeth, reading this Lady Macbeth had her own plans of becoming the queen, she had encouraged Macbeth to commit evil deeds such as killing King Duncan, the current king of Scotland who had come to visit Macbeth in his castle. This impressed the King, and Duncan saw Macbeth as a brave and strong man, but Macbeth proved Duncan wrong when he allowed his wife to manipulate him into killing Duncan. Nothing that they predict for him just simply falls into his lap; likewise everything is done by his own power. In an effort to become King, he kills King Duncan by his own hand. If it had been predestined for him to become the King of Scotland, then the throne would have been simply given up to him. Instead his ambition to bring about this prophecy results in him assassinating the king.


One might argue that he was dragged into doing this because of Lady Macbeth urging him to do it. However, one must remember he was completely against doing this dark deed, but he eventually succumbed to his wife. Macbeth is never portrayed at any point in the story as being weak or spineless, so why is he overpowered by his wife? The only thing between Macbeth and the crown was his cousin Duncan, which he decided to kill Duncan if he is to become king, where only a monstrous person can achieve. Though he troubles himself whether he should murder, his determination to obtain power took over his morality and drove him to kill his cousin to claim the crown.

Valiant and truthful soldier, Macbeth experiences dire changes of evil, in order to gain his thriftless ambition for king. Once honourable Macbeth pledges glory to his king and gained honour through valiant accomplishments. Fear strikes him as his mind starts to deteriorate into utter chaos by his treacherous actions. His self-conscious mind transforms him into a superstitious villain who suffers in despair as he implicates regret.


In William Shakespeare's Macbeth, Macbeth is presented as being power hungry, who stole the throne of Scotland from Malcolm, and put the country into complete chaos throughout his evil reign. In order to accomplish this, Macbeth was manipulated and encouraged by his wife, Lady Macbeth, to murder King Duncan in order to seize the throne for himself. All of these horrid things that Macbeth does to gain the throne are depicted as the evil triumphs. As the play progressed, Macbeth is afraid of begin discovered and commits to more killings and from here it appears that evil is becoming victorious. However, after all the murders, Macbeth thinks he is invincible and can not be touched and this overconfidence leads to his downfall.


Even though Macbeth triumphed because he succeeded in getting King Duncan killed and was able to achieve his goals, he did not conquer because he was killed and order was restored. Macbeth is only partially responsible for his own downfall for his eventual downfall at the hands of Macduff. All of these are factors which lead to Macbeth committing murders in order to become King and his ultimate downfall. At the beginning of the novel and before the killing rampages, Macbeth is a noble and selfless leader who leads his troops to victory against the invading Irish and Norwegian armies.


All in all, Macbeth is the least to be blamed because he is sensitive and gentle- hearted- and thus killing Duncan is an adequate excuse for his paranoia. Lady Macbeth is a very manipulative and clever character, whose attributes and feelings change throughout the play. At the start of the script, she is a very driven and strong character, pushing her beloved Macbeth to go do the dark deeds that he needs to do to get to his eventual goal- to become king and rule all of Scotland. It also shows her mad side that she would do that even to her own child, but I will explain further in the second paragraph. A sequence is a set of related things, but obviously some things are more relative than others.
