I reach my target at a fixed time. I came to school with other friends of mine. We happily enter the schools with great confidence. We take part in a school assembly and then we move into our classrooms. This all is done by a very efficient and well-trained teaching staff of my school. The best schools are those that make the students the best and the best school is made by the best teachers. We study under the guidance of the best teachers. My school has a dedicated teacher for all the subjects as well as extracurricular activities like music and sports. I consider my school as the best school because it supports and encourages every student to do their best and make progress.

Fortunately, my school provides the best environment, the best teachers, and the best facilities. Our Class teacher greets us daily and asks about us. He is quite a cool and kind man. He entertains us along with teaching his subject. We learn a lot of things like discipline, self-help, confidence, and cooperation here. As I enter my classroom I feel quite happy and relaxed. The place where children as the leaders of tomorrow study and where the future of the nation is shaped are called schools. Education is an essential weapon for tomorrow, so the good schools of today are important for the best future of a nation. Schools are the center of learning where we attend classes on various subjects, interact with the teachers, get our queries.

answered, and appeared in exams. In my school, learning is more like a fun activity, because of the extra-talented teaching staff. My school is a government primary school located on the outskirts of the city. Usually, when people think about a government school, they perceive it to be at an isolated location and have poor basic amenities and teaching facilities. But, despite being a government school, my school defies all such speculations. Teachers of my school are not only knowledgeable about the subjects they teach but also are skilled enough to teach through fun activities.

For example, our physics teacher explains every concept by stating real-life examples that we could relate to. This way we not only understand the subject better. Moreover, not a moment I remember, when any teacher had ever replied rudely to any of the students. They always patiently listen and provide answers to all the queries posed to them. Learning at my school is fun and it is made possible only because of the teachers. My school is very important in my life, in a way even more than my family. My family gives me love, care, and affection, and provides for all my other essential needs. Favorably, I am lucky enough to be enrolled in a prestigious school, and gaining a wonderful education, looking forward to realizing my dreams one day.

The most necessary for success in life is education, and only my school provides it to me. Without my school and the education that it gives, I would be like a confused and wandering soul, almost aimless in life. My school helps with my educational and overall personality development. I knew that I enjoyed helping others and I find myself to be a strong leader, so this course would be enjoyable for me. I expected myself to be a tutor who was helpful and friendly, and I hoped to be the best tutor I could be. Becoming the tutor I am today took time, and there is still lots of room for development. Before starting this course.

As Barry points out, if a group of men were instructed by Brad Pitt to apply cosmetics, they would quickly realize that the task was pointless, even demeaning to an extent. Most women on the other hand, place higher importance on their looks, even to the point of setting unobtainable goals of beauty.

These different. Stroll through the toy aisle in any store. These stereotypical standards of pink and blue are as strictly contrasting as black and white. The problems presented in the restrictions and societal ideals of modern day womanhood are not limited to those born female. The channels of femininity are structured to both provide identity for those with breasts, wearing bows, and Barbie dolls, but also as a contrast to the qualities associated with the opposite gender. Clothes, hair lengths, toys and games are superficial signs of gender identity, but are often readily accepted by children absorbing the lay of the land as it presented to them.

The young boy feels a sense of excitement a thrill that he can. Catherine's older sister Karin was the same age as me, 12 years old. Her parents had the latest 'mod cons' shipped out from the USA and her bedroom was decked out with hot pink shag pile carpet and a white fourposter bed with gold trimming and pale pink floral fabric, which flowed delicately in all the right places. My bedroom had the bare necessities, which was all I really needed or wanted. My bedroom was very basic with no signs of femininity and I was okay with that. I also didn't like wearing frills or lace. I thought it was rather 'lame'. What I initially found very fascinating about Karin was thatshe had 'boobs', which she was particularly proud of, and I was very flat chested. I'd never met anyone my age with 'boobs' before.

She convinced me that that's what boys like, and also emphasized the greatimportance of being liked by boys. She persuaded me to wear one of her old training bras and stuff it with tissues. I was so in 'awe' of her that I complied. There were only a couple of older boys on the mission station and they were actually teenagers, so their approval of our maturing young bodies, well hers in particular, was very important. Before Karin had arrived the thought of attracting the attention of a boy didn't even register in my mind seeing as I was just one of them, mostly. I grew up with two brothers and mostly all male cousins so taking part in 'boyish' activities. Learning and trying new activities has always intrigued me. It could be food, books, new problems to solve, or new and different ways to learn.

I believe trying new things helps me build on experiences and improve the way I tackle tough problems. In other words, I love new opportunities that I can learn or gain something from. Throughout my academic career I have always struggled with writing whether it is for the English class or any other liberal arts class. In my English classes, I have a tendency to deviate from the given task. This semester I took a FIQWS Composition class which helped me explore the unexplored areas of my academic writing. There were three main essays literacy narrative, exploratory essay and critical researched analysis and each improved my writing tremendously.

On the first day of class, I was surprised to see the amount of work is expected from me because there were only three major essays and three reflections. I thought the workload would not be so intense because there are only few major assignments. However, as the Semester has progressed, the work required from me was far more complex and demanding than the assignment listing of the syllabus. On the contrary, with each assignment, I viewed writing from a different perspective, incorporating feedback of my professor and applying the contents I learned from the class. High School: A time in our lives that sets the mold for who we are going to be in this world.

It does this by teaching us great lessons about life, ourselves, and other people through various experiences. One of these experiences I chose to take part in was football. It was this decision that led me to this fateful day. A day in which my left leg was shattered and my perspectives on life were drastically changed. Walking through the double doors of school and to my very first locker, I took a breath and realized this was a new stage in my life. A new stage in life meant new people, experiences, and problems- especially problems.

I wore questionably clean, wrinkled clothes, ready to start my first year of middle school. The amount of kids in my class multiplied tenfold with over students. Coming to this school made me change into a completely different person these last three years. My whole educational career I was always trying my hardest to be on the honor roll team and have the most perfect attendance. There were many deterrents outside of the classroom that affected my performance in school, as it showed drastically in my grades as well as my attendance. In this essay I will be discussing those obstacles, who were involved, who helped me, and how I overcame them to finally get my high school diploma.

The first day of school is nerve-wracking for most people, for me, the first day was especially terrifying. The first day of a college class is probably more crazy than all others.

I had to frequently remind myself that this situation was only temporary. In the mornings while awaiting the arrival of the bus, there were many kids I wanted to talk to. However, many of the kids would be busy comparing their outfits, having races in the middle of the road, or play fighting to even look interested in making a new friend. Although my judgment of this location was somewhat tainted, I still wanted to mix and mingle with the other kids. I knew it would take time for them to warm up to me. Immediately afterward, the children around me started talking fast assuming that I would be able to keep up with the pace.

I remember storming off, annoyed and frustrated. Mom told me later that the children were not making fun of me, they just didn't understand how hard it could be. As stated in Chapter1, there are words are so similar to one. Since I did not have a single class with any of them, I was glad to finally be able to spend time with people I knew. We found a table next to a glazed white pillar in the cafeteria, put our backpacks down, and went to go buy lunch. Almost immediately, the cloud of loneliness following me around morphed into sunshine.

After paying for our meals, we sat down at our table to eat. The hallway felt never-ending, seeing all the unfamiliar faces made me nervous, but excited at the same time. It was an unusual feeling, but I made it to the class, took my seat, and waited patiently for the teacher to begin. My first new friend was named Cameo, she came up to me and introduced herself, she appeared eager, but I could tell she was just as nervous as I was. I was reluctant to speak to a lot of people due to my speech impediment. It was uncomfortable for me to be around my classmates, but everyone in the class seems to be nice to me because I was the new kid.

As time goes on, I began to feel. I had traveled a long distance from Ethiopia in order to be with my parents who had been here for four years, hoping America would help my future. Anxiety started taking over. I was on my way for my first day of school in America. From this day, I still remember how lonely I felt and how badly I wanted to be accepted. As I walked in class, I saw everyone divided into various cliques and eventually I found myself every week trying to fit in with a different one. I tried my best to act like those kids in order to fit in, I changed so many things such as my attitude, my clothing, my hairstyles and how I spoke in the span of one year. Having grown up in my old school, Norwegian International School, I had grown reliant on my friends and the easy-going environment there.

Changing schools in , I arrived in International Christian School. My first few months at ICS was a complete nightmare. Everything was different, the environment, the people and the work load. At the beginning of the year, I cried continuously for a month, latching on to my mom; terrified to go to school because of my shyness, my fear for being the youngest due to me skipping a grade and my inability to find new friends. The first day I went to that big building I was a bit intimidated. Finding all of my classes and new people everywhere convinced me that I was such a small person. At the midway point of my day, I arrived at lunch. A couple people sitting at a table in the center of the room were talking about video games.

I knew that I could fit well in with that group immediately. I was surrounded by approximately sixteen hundred other students and I knew exactly none of them. I had never been that alone before and when I walked through the cafeteria doors, I felt the first seed of doubt that maybe I should have stayed in Union, with my mom. At that moment, I wanted to turn around and run out of Prairie Ridge, hop in the car, and drive the four hundred miles back to my friends, my teammates, and the majority of my family. Instead, I took a deep breath and sat down. Last summer, my family decided to move to Oregon from a small town in Maine. Throughout high school, I was motivated to try new things. Nevertheless, moving across the country to a school where I knew no one would be the biggest change I ever endured.

I was terrified of the unknown. I follow behind my new friend whom I met last block into the noisy freshman cafeteria. I am surprised that someone like her invited me to sit at their lunch table. As I walk with my salad and a smile on my face, I pass the table with my middle school friends. Their faces are welcoming and I notice a seat saved for me. The high school that I was in gave me an interesting experience. I was able to learn and experience different lessons with in my high school. Three of those life lessons that I went through are when my school was placed on lockdown, another experience is a club that I joined which helped really mature. Finally the other experience I faced in high school was that some of my friends that I had wanted me to join them in some bad situations but I kept myself out of those situations.

When I first entered high school I was a nervous, timid boy. I had never been it such a large school with so many different people. It was during this time, that I started to push myself to break out of my shell and become a more social person. Have you ever felt uncomfortable, nervous, and confused? These are all the things I felt moving to a new school. I had no idea if I would gain friends or if anyone would like me. Maybe if I had a tour around the new school before my first day I would have not been so disorientated.

Going from a one story school to a two story school was hard, having to look down every five seconds to make sure I was on the right hall, or if I was suppose to be upstairs or downstairs. Bumping into people while looking down and asking multiple people for direction even though I was shy. Giving five minutes after each class to get to the other, walking into a classroom on my first day people staring and observing. Moving to a different town is not about the new house, it is about adapting to a new environment. IPL My Experience In My New School. My Experience In My New School Words 5 Pages. Walking around my new school by myself for the first time was one of the worst feelings I felt as a small, foreign preschooler.

The first few weeks of school, I continued in classes sitting by myself, in a chair that seemed isolated from the bright world, full of laughter and smiles of children. The students around me were so vibrant and full of life, but no one would approach me, and after many days, I lost interest in having friends. My seat became permanent, stuck in a corner where attention would not be drawn. Why are your eyes so tiny? I could feel my eyes flood with tears as I choked up, and as someone who could barely speak English at the time, I felt so incredibly humiliated. I do not know how I remember these words, because at the time, I did not understand them; I just knew that they were laughing at me. There did not need to be an explanation in any language as to why they were snickering after seeing them mimic my features.

Needless to say, for the rest of the year, I was unable to bring myself to make friends and open up. Show More.
